It’s amazing how some people would go to great lengths to help injured stray dogs. Many strays suffer from injuries that can become permanent if not treated. That’s why dog rescuers are always willing to find ways to reverse those injuries if possible.
Jeffrey is a stray Maltese that was found roaming the streets of Los Angeles. He suffered from a severe case of mange, causing his fur to become disheveled. Furthermore, Jeffrey’s jaw was dislocated towards the left side of his face.
Fortunately, Jeffrey was saved by animal rescuers, who were kind enough to pay for his surgery. They also gave him a total makeover, trimming his fur and making him look neat. He looked like a different dog after he was rescued.
One day, Jeffrey was brought to an event for dogs that needed a home. There he met a Texan woman named Kemah, who took an interest in him. However, at the time of their meeting, she was hesitant to adopt him because of certain reservations.
Kemah contemplated whether it would be wise for her to adopt Jeffrey. She already had two dogs, so she opted to have a discussion with her partner before adopting another one. Eventually, they decided to go through with the adoption, and the rest was history.
Kemah’s decision to adopt Jeffrey proved to be worthwhile. Her other dogs welcomed their new friend with great enthusiasm. Jeffrey turned out to be a very affectionate pet and friend.
Jeffrey is an example of a rescued dog that was given a chance at a normal life thanks to generous people. The surgery that he went through is by no means cheap. That’s why it’s amazing to know that even injured dogs can receive the treatment they need when they meet the right people.
