What could go wrong during the weekends? I could give you a list, but something other than something that included something as bizarre as a Pug having its travel tour across Cape May backyards.
The Adventures of Ms. Bean
An unwary neighbor called the police after it spotted an unsuspicious little trespasser in their backyard, to which Cape May Police Patrolman Michael LeSage responded. Little did they know they were in for a surprise.
The tiny law-breaker, identified to be a Pug, had its crime spree halted right away when Mr. LeSage arrived. The patrolman noted that the Pug tried to “gracefully” enter the backseat of the police car, but its short legs did not help, and he eventually helped the criminal.
FacePug Famous
The procedure was the same as it is for humans. Miranda’s Rights were read to the Pug, but the pup took it literally and was mum about its identity. This forced the police to heed public help in profiling the little detainee by posting a mugshot of the pup on their Facebook page.
Finally, after a few hours, the identity of the Pug became apparent, and her name was Bean, which was with its family on a vacation trip to Cape May to escape Baltimore, Maryland. The station informed the Family about Bean’s misdeeds and crimes, but hopefully, it won’t result in another detention.
The family arrived at the station to pick up Bean after posting bail, thus ending the dog’s little detention. Although Bean’s jail stint was short and sweet, it did leave an essential reminder to all owners out there to keep their loved ones supervised, dog or not, to avoid this kind of thing.
The End of a Ruff Journey
The Pug and its family returned home safely in Maryland and informed us that Bean was happier than before, far from someone repenting of her crimes. It’s safe to say that we will never know if Bean finally learned her lesson.
