When an animal rescue officer named Ruth Thomas-Coxon received a report regarding a dog abandoned in the middle of the woods, she drove out right away to investigate. Upon arriving at the scene, what she witnessed broke her heart.
In a press release, Thomas-Coxon said the poor dog was skinny, weak, and terrified. It was such a pitiful sight, seeing the pooch curled up and surrounded by ivy.
The pooch, now named Bang Bang, was confused, and he looked like he was only waiting for some help. He had most likely been abandoned, and nobody knew how long he had been out there by himself. One of Bang Bang’s back legs was swollen, and the poor dog looked starving. Fortunately, someone had seen him and reported him to Thomas-Coxon.
An animal shelter took in Bang Bang and tended to his injuries immediately. The rescue dog had a microchip, so the staff called the number and were told that the family had sold the dog a couple of weeks prior. Thus, the person who bought him from his previous family must have been the one who abandoned Bang Bang.
Despite Bang Bang being terrified initially, he immediately started to warm up to the people who saved him. He was thrilled to be somewhere safe and with people who could give him love.
According to the deputy manager of the animal shelter, Olivia Duffill, Bang Bang is doing well, with his leg improving every day. The pooch has begun bearing weight on the leg. Moreover, he loves cuddles and bonding with the staff.
Bang Bang is improving every day, and people at the shelter are excited to start finding him the family perfect for him.
Once he has completely recovered from his injury, the shelter will begin looking for a new home for him. They don’t think it will take them long as Bang Bang is a fabulous dog with a great personality.
