When it comes to French Bulldogs, there are plenty of differences between males and females. From their size and weight to their energy level and temperament, there are plenty of things that separate boys from girls. Frenchies Haru and Griffin prove it in this story.
These dogs respond to things differently. Haru, the female Frenchie, loves to be kissed while her brother Griffin doesn’t. He’d scramble after dad to give him a bit of a scolding if he’s kissed. Every time Griffin gets kissed, it never fails to make all members of this little family laugh.
Griffin tends to gobble food down when it comes to eating. Haru, on the other hand, delicately licks the food and savors the whole experience, taking delicate little nips as she progresses.
They have similarities too, both being small in stature, and being notorious couch potatoes! They both love to exercise, but they do it their own way. A short daily walk keeps them happy and healthy, but Griffin tends to wander and get carried away by scents.
Haru likes sticking to the trail – she’s all good to take that walk and just go around the neighborhood.
Regarding personality, there are also some pretty significant differences between male and female French Bulldogs. Males are typically more independent than females. Females seek more comfort and affection than males do.
Griffin could sleep wherever, but Haru needs to have a blanket and be on the couch so that she could get her beauty rest. This is likely due in part to the fact that females have been bred for companionship, while males have been bred for hunting and guarding.
However, these are generalizations – ultimately, each dog is an individual, so it’s important not to get too hung up on gender stereotypes. Thumbs up for giving us a dose of the good vibes, doggos!
