When Ava, a German Shepherd, was adopted by dog trainer Talia Henze about a year ago, she quickly realized that the dog was quite intelligent. She quickly learned simple and complex commands, and she was always cooperative during training.
In addition to the dog’s intelligence, Talia recently discovered something else about him that she found humorous and endearing. That day, the fur mom was eating blueberries while Ava observed her with curiosity.
Talia believed that the dog would be interested in having a taste, so she gave her a piece. Ava brought the small berry directly to her crate as soon as she got it. This did not surprise the pet parent, however, since she had trained Ava to consume her goodies and durable chew toys solely in her kennel or elevated bed.
But she found it odd that the dog did not eat the blueberry at all. Instead, she cuddled it and carried it around as if it were one of her favorite stuffed animals.
Talia believed that Ava may not have understood what the blueberry was or how to eat it. Even after the pet parent showed how to eat the fruit, the German Shepherd remained uninterested in eating it. In fact, she continued to cuddle with it throughout the entire day.
This occurred multiple times before Talia decided to photograph Ava and her blueberries. She then uploaded the video on TikTok, where it gained over 2.2 million views almost instantly!
Talia has already accepted that Ava’s motherly affection for her blueberries is a part of her dog’s character, despite the fact that the reason for this affection remains a mystery. And she has no problem with that at all.
Dogs really are a constant source of innocence and happiness. Thank you for giving us that, Ava!
