Have you ever heard of dogs being perfect gentlemen? Well, these dogs, three Alaskan Malamutes named Phil, Niko, and Ted, behaved that way. They attended a tea party hosted by their ward, Mia, and they proved that even massive dogs can be well-behaved with proper training.
Mia invited her parents and dogs to join her for some afternoon tea the day this video was recorded. She was a little worried about how her three big dogs would behave during this time. After all, she did not want them getting into any mischief, but all her worries melted away when she saw how her furry pals behaved.
The three malamutes greeted everyone with their signature wagging tails and friendly faces. They sat patiently around Mia’s table while they all enjoyed their tea. Mia’s cat, Milo, drank some tea from a cup before he was given permission to do so, but the dogs still remained calm and didn’t follow suit.
Mia’s parents attributed this remarkable behavior to the regular training sessions the dogs had since they were puppies. Using positive reinforcement methods like rewards and praise whenever they followed commands correctly, the dogs grew up with manners of true gentlemen!
This way of teaching helped create a trusting relationship between the dogs and their humans so that they felt comfortable enough to listen to instructions even in such a busy environment full of unfamiliar people.
Malamutes Phil, Niko, and Ted showed us that any dog can become a perfect gentleman with enough time spent on appropriate training methods. Our furry friends will behave accordingly if we take the time out of our days to help them.
We should all take notes from Mia’s parents on how they trained these amazing doggos so we can teach our own furry buddies some gentlemanly manners too. Do share so that we can all witness the proper way dogs should behave at a tea party!
