Four teenagers from the UK have pled guilty to cruelty to an animal after they heartlessly stole and tortured a small pup for hours. The small pooch, who was less than a year old, underwent unimaginable pain to what may seem like an eternity for him.
Drugged and tortured
According to investigations done by the RSPCA – Wimbledon, Wandsworth & Sutton Branch, and the police, the puppy, named Chunky, was stolen from his owner’s home.
The boys, with ages ranging from 15 to 16, said that they were under the influence of drugs at that time. After they took the pup, they went to an undisclosed area where they fed Chunky some drugs and started abusing him. They hit the dog multiple times breaking his neck and leg. They also burned his small face using an aerosol can.
When they were finally done, they dumped the poor pooch near a garbage bin, thinking that the pup would die soon enough.
Thankfully, the dog was very resilient and survived.
Miraculous recovery
When Chunky regained some of his strength, he stood up and started wandering around. He was very weak and was walking with a limp. The burns on his body were very visible.
Some kind people saw him and reported the matter to the authorities. A rescuer from RSPCA – Wimbledon, Wandsworth & Sutton Branch immediately retrieved him.
The RSPCA rescuer rushed the young dog to a vet, where he was given emergency medical treatment. Because of his extensive injuries, he endured pain for days, despite being given painkillers.
The dog eventually healed, and his owners were found. They were glad that their precious pet was returned, but the experience would always leave a negative mark on their lives.
The four teenage boys were caught later on and given fines. They were also barred from owning an animal for five years. They got off lightly because they were still young.
