While working on a property in the desert, a Good Samaritan named Andrew noticed two stray dogs wandering nearby. He immediately gave Hope For Paws, a charitable institution, a ring and let them know what he found. He asked them to come and save the dogs and he waited patiently until they arrived.
Andrew has worked with the rescue organization in the past. He even adopted one of its rescue dogs so he knew that if there was anyone who could save the dogs he saw, it would be a Hope For Paws rescuer.
Rescue volunteers JoAnn Wiltz and Alex Babcock quickly drove to Andrew’s location. When they got there, they found the dogs, Ragnar and Ronan, seeking shade from the desert sun under Andrew’s car. Although Ragnar barked at the women initially, both he and Ronan swiftly warmed up to JoAnn and Alex.
Alex easily put a Lucky Leash on Ragnar while distracting him with a cheeseburger. Ronan also received his own Lucky Leash and a good chunk of burger to boot. Both pooches showed remarkable trust in their rescuers, with Ragnar even allowing JoAnn to rub his belly.
Moments later, the rescuers carefully placed Ragnar and Ronan in their respective pens. Once they secured the dogs in their vehicle, JoAnn and Alex started the trip back to LA. Andrew bid them farewell, and he was happy to see the dogs on their way to safety.
When they got to the facility, a refreshing bath waited for the dog buddies. Ragnar and Ronan felt completely at ease after getting cleaned and vetted. They continued bonding with JoAnn and Alex, showing how much they appreciate their rescuers’ efforts.
JoAnn and Alex then brought the revitalized Ragnar and Ronan to their foster home at LA Animal Rescue. The dogs took it all in stride, happily playing on the facility grounds and even cooling off on the nearby stream.
Ragnar and Ronan now wait to find their forever homes. From wandering in the desert, the best friends now gleefully enjoy safety and security together. They look forward to a home where they can hopefully continue to be with each other as best buddies forever.
