Dogs are so friendly that they could be buddies with any species on this planet. We’ve even seen them being best friends with cats, which are their mortal enemies. Although it takes some time before our puppers form a bond with other creatures, it’s nice to know that they are the ones who initiate the friendship.
If you find this hard to believe, then check out the viral video below. This friendly pooch named Shilka is trying to befriend her owner’s other pet, a raven named Keria. Both animals belong to 29-year-old Yuriy Kostyukov from Belgorod, Russia.
Yuriy spotted the newspaper advertisements for the two, and right away, he knew that he wanted to adopt them. Obviously, a doggo and a raven is an unlikely pairing, but luckily, one of them is more than willing to become friends with the other.
The ten-month-old Shilka is so friendly that she wants to become buddies with Keria. Unfortunately, the raven does not reciprocate the sentiment. So much so that the raven actually tries to fend off Shilka, who was trying to get a sip of water from her bowl.
In the adorable video below, we can see Shilka walking towards the water bowl, but Keria is standing in her way. The raven even let out a squawk to ward off the pooch. Shilka just laid in front of Keria while she pecked on the pup’s ear and snout.
It’s clear that Shilka doesn’t mind the raven’s antics as she even let Keria peck on the other side of her face. It’s looked like the raven was giving the pupper a face massage. However, when Shilka went to the water bowl, Keria became a little aggressive. She didn’t want to share the water with the pooch, but Shilka was very understanding.
Perhaps in the near future, these two would learn to share, and that would definitely make their owner Yuriy extremely happy. Check out their cute video below.
