Border collies are among the most fascinating dogs to see in action. They do well in agility competitions and are capable of achieving astounding feats of speed. They excel most at herding sheep and other livestock, and this is what this story is about.
A Korean man owns multiple border collies that assist him in herding his livestock. Kelly and Conny are the two best dogs in the pack. They have years of experience with herding and can command the attention of large animals such as cows.
Kelly and Conny function as an efficient machine. Their coordination and collaboration are really exceptional. They can expertly guide animals that have strayed far from their enclosures.
The effort that went into training Conny and Kelly is worthy. Even though they were born to herd, their owner still had to train them for months so that their natural abilities would be honed further and they would be more effective at what they do. In fact, after only a year of training, they were already sent to the field to take on herding duties.
The owner of the pair is constantly introducing more border collies to the pack. Unfortunately, not all of them possess the skills needed for the job.
This what has happened to the border collie named Camp. It took him a long time to become competent at what he needs to do.
It was immediately apparent that Camp was heavier than the usual border collie. This made it difficult for him to leap over fences. Additionally, he was quite clumsy and appeared harmless to the livestock.
Fortunately, the owner was persistent when it came to dog training. He was quite confident that he could help Camp develop his skills. Moreover, Kelly and Conny can serve as his models.
