Dogs are capable of deducing information on their own. They do, however, occasionally require assistance when they are perplexed by a situation. Usually, it’s humans who instruct them how to do things, but some dogs appear to be smart enough to lend a helping hand to their canine companions and help them figure things out.
Lola, a dachshund, is proof of this. Nicole Bates-Brownsword is his fur mom and she said that Lola is a smart pupper. She also nicknamed him Sausage.
Lola has become an internet star, thanks to a viral video. The dog parent caught the smart dog teaching her doggy siblings how to utilize the dog door and she luckily caught this on camera.
While Lola’s brothers Coco and Oliver were outside, the weiner doggo was inside the house. Lola pawed at the dog door a few times to demonstrate that if they nudge it, it should move. Unfortunately, this was insufficient to persuade the two doggos on the street that it was safe to use.
After that, Lola demonstrated how to use the doggy door by going through it twice. The dachshund went outdoors, then came back inside, expecting the others would follow. But the doggie door was still a mystery to Coco and Oliver. And when the door swung open, they truly looked terrified.
Lola was seen receiving doggie goodies from her mother at the end of the canine footage as a reward for her efforts to assist her brothers. The weiner dog had stopped using the doggy door by this time and I think it was because she decided that Coco and Oliver needed to sort it out for themselves.
Oliver managed to get through the contraption, thanks to Nicole’s support. One of the two dogs had already overcome his phobia of the doggy door, which pleased the dog mom. Coco remained outdoors, but we’re confident he’d figure it out soon.
