Dogs are famous for their exceptional loyalty to their humans. They just have an innate capacity for love and devotion. So if you have a dog or thinking of having one, you best believe they won’t turn their backs on you. Take Moose as an example.
Moose is a Labrador mix who lost his owner to cancer. He has no idea of this tragedy which makes it more heartbreaking.
The clueless dog gained popularity when some people saw him patiently waiting beside his late dad’s hospital bed, and they took a photo of the sad moment. He doesn’t know where his dad has gone and is hopeful to see him soon. The picture of Moose got uploaded and reached a lot of people.
Since no one was left to care for Moose, Eleventh Hour Rescue took him back to their shelter, where he stayed before his dad adopted him.
When poor Moose arrived at the shelter, the staff could see how heartbroken he was. He and his owner have known each other since 2017.
Moose’s life was difficult before his dad found him. Abandoned and tied to a railroad sign in Georgia, Moose was rescued and transferred to a shelter, where he remained for many months. Since no one has expressed interest in adopting him, the shelter scheduled him for euthanasia.
Fortunately, a miracle came for Moose as a no-kill shelter called Eleventh Hour Rescue took him in. Moose found his beloved owner when he was under this organization’s care. The staff said Moose and his owner automatically formed a bond when they first met.
Regrettably, their happy moments were brief after Moose’s owner died from cancer. As per Eleventh Hour Rescue’s policy, Moose had to return to them since his owner could not look after him.
The shelter’s doors are always open to accepting their former dogs, no matter how packed they are.
In an attempt to look for a new owner to take care of Moose, Eleventh Hour Rescue and NorthStar Pet Rescue took to Facebook to share his photo and story.
The post quickly went viral on the internet, and Moose’s story touched many people. Their efforts were not in vain, as a kind-hearted family adopted Moose.
