Glitch was around six months old when he was found as a stray in Boston. At that time, he barely tipped the scales at 14 pounds, which is way below the average weight for his age and breed. The skinny pit bull was so deprived of food that he was so weak and fragile. He could also barely walk.
Living in a crowded shelter, the emaciated pooch wouldn’t get the care and attention he needed. The resources were low, and the staff had so many animals to care for. Thankfully for Glitch, a kind volunteer offered to foster him. This was the beginning of his new life.
Brotherly love
The kind woman, a longtime shelter volunteer named Nikki, fell in love with Glitch. She was sad to see her needs were being neglected, so she took him home. Initially, the emaciated dog was scared of being in a new environment. He was scared stiff and was just looking around his foster home.
That all changed when Nikki’s pet Petey, a pit bull as well, walked into the room and met Glitch for the first time. The rescue dog perked up, and all his fears were gone. The two developed an instant bond, and for the next few days, the newcomer followed his foster brother everywhere.
Zoomies
With a healthy diet and a patient foster mom, Glitch grew fitter and stronger in just several days. He developed the strength to emulate everything that Petey did. When his new friend ran, he would do the same. They would go to the park and go full sprint, chasing each other around.
Over time, Glitch started developing his character. He also became more affectionate towards his foster family. He loves crawling next to Nikki’s husband and asking for cuddles.
Nikki is not sure yet if she plans to adopt Glitch. But with how things are going, he might end up being a foster fail.
