Daphne Mendez and Kimberly Villacorta, property owners in L.A., evicted the tenants of one of their properties. Unfortunately, when the occupants left, they abandoned four of their dogs. The women didn’t know what to do with the dogs so they asked for assistance from a local rescue organization called Hope For Paws.
Loreta, Eldad, and JoAnn, head rescuers of the said group, met with Daphne and Kimberly. As they arrived, the women welcomed them into the property. Even the dogs, Sherriff the German Shepherd in particular, were happy to meet the rescuers.
The women offered to help secure the dogs as the rescuers handed them the equipment they’ll use. Daphne easily coaxed Boogie, a small black dog, into a crate. Loreta and JoAnn, meanwhile, managed to lead Sheriff into a bigger cage.
Eldad cautiously approached a medium-sized white dog named Sabrina. He almost lost Sabrina when the dog felt anxious and tried to get away. With Loreta’s help, Eldad eventually got Sabrina to walk into a crate safely.
Having secured three of the four dogs, the rescuers focused on the remaining one, a Chihuahua named Java. Java felt nervous but she did not try to run away when Loreta and JoAnn approached. She simply looked at them when they put a leash around her neck.
The rescuers thanked Daphne and Kimberly for their help before rushing the dogs to the vet. Once at the clinic, all dogs received treatment for ticks. Furthermore, Java underwent special treatment for mobile mandibular symphysis, a condition that affected her lower jaw.
Sheriff, Sabrina, Boogie, and Java enjoyed refreshing baths courtesy of their rescuers. After Java’s surgeries, she was back in good health, and she was happy to reunite with her furry siblings.
All dogs proceeded to LA Animal Rescue for foster care. Sheriff, Sabrina, and Java found their forever homes after spending time with their foster family. Boogie, meanwhile, looks forward to finding his forever family soon.
