Pregnant Pit Bull Gets Pulled From Animal Shelter By An Amazing Woman To Let Her Give Birth In A Comfortable Environment

Pregnant Pit Bull Gets Pulled From Animal Shelter By An Amazing Woman To Let Her Give Birth In A Comfortable Environment

Most of us would agree that homeless dogs are better off in an animal shelter instead of wandering in the streets and trying to survive. At the very least, the dogs are regularly fed and they have a roof over their heads in an animal shelter. It’s really not the most ideal place for dogs, but it’s the best we can offer them while they wait for someone to adopt them.

However, a homeless dog named Zia is a different case. After Zia was rescued as a stray in Central Valley, California, she was taken to an animal shelter just like any other dog rescue. The only difference was that Zia was pregnant. The animal shelter is a noisy and stressful environment, which isn’t an ideal place for pregnant dogs to give birth to their litter.

Fortunately, an animal rescue group called Fresno Bully Rescue and a volunteer foster named Noelani learned about Zia. They all agreed that Zia needs the extra attention, which she would get very little of at the animal shelter. Zia needed a home environment where it’s much more relaxed and comfortable. She needed a place where she can feel safe giving birth to her puppies.

Noelani regularly fosters rescue dogs that need the extra care the most. Zia fitted Noelani’s criteria when choosing a dog to foster. So, it was quite a very easy decision for Noelani. She took Zia back home where she could be comfortable and feel safe. Zia felt completely relaxed and at ease as soon as she entered her foster home.

Zia even started nesting and chose a space in Noelani’s home to give birth to her babies. Noelani supplied her with everything she needed. She gave Zia blankets, kept her fed, and made sure she felt loved and safe. Zia knew she and her puppies were in good hands.

After Zia gave birth, Noelani cared for Zia and her puppies until they were all ready to be adopted. All the puppies found forever homes soon after they weaned. Zia also found a forever home with a loving family in Fresno. Thanks to Noelani, Zia and her puppies were able to find good forever homes. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Zia’s story and how Noelani gave her and her puppies the best foster home.
