How do you know if a dog is good? It’s when he’s huge but doesn’t use his size to get what he wants. And this massive Newfoundland named Ollie proved himself to be a good boy in this story.
Ollie watched Nana while she painstakingly buttered a biscuit. He knew that if he’s patient, he’ll be rewarded for his good behavior. Nana loves himĀ so he’s sure he’ll get a treat.
Mom reminded Ollie to be gentle when she saw that her fluffy big boy was getting impatient. Nana tore a piece off and handed it to Ollie, and the huge pet gulped it down in a flash.
He didn’t even wait for Nana to get her hand extended properly. Nana had to wipe her hands on the dog’s coat because it was now full of Ollie’s slobber. Guess someone got a bit excited.
What’s funny is, Ollie didn’t even notice the huge bread right beside his noggin while all this was going on. If his attention wasn’t too focused on the biscuit in Nana’s hand, he would have seen it.
Nana was finally able to wipe her hands clean, so she proceeded to eat her biscuit. Ollie waited for a bit, and when he saw that his Grams got her bite, he stretched his neck out.
He knew that the last piece’s always for him, so he didn’t mind making the effort to reach his prize. Mom even told Ollie no, but that didn’t have any effect on the Newf.
Grams didn’t mind because that’s just how things were between her and Ollie. He’s a good boy, so a reward now and then is good for him. The bond they share means the dog gets access to treats.
Bless this doggo, and bless all the Nanas in the world. Without them, many grandkids wouldn’t even know the kind of love that only grandparents could bring. Cheers to you both!
