Many places in the southern United States have plenty of dogs because of not enough neutering and spaying. And sadly, several animal shelters opt to euthanize dogs because of overcrowding without thinking of a better and more humane solution. Unfortunately, this kind of situation happens not only in the United States but also in several other countries. However, it is not these poor dogs’ fault that many dog owners are irresponsible!
A stray pup named Robin was found on the streets and brought to a kill shelter. However, since he had a leg injury, the kill shelter did not give him a fighting chance and just scheduled him for euthanasia right away. Fortunately, some kind people rescued the poor pup, just minutes away before his scheduled euthanasia.
The rescuers brought Robin to Vet Ranch, an organization that helps homeless animals. There, the staff examined him and took X-rays. The X-ray results revealed that the pup only had a bruised leg.
However, the best thing that happened during the pup’s visit to the vet was his reaction. While most dogs would usually get scared and cautious of new people, Robin warmed up to the rescuers right away and even hugged the vet as if expressing his gratitude. He probably knew he was finally safe and surrounded by good people.
According to the rescuers, the pup is doing very well since they rescued him from the kill shelter. They are also happy that Robin is now healthy and ready to find a new family and home.
Despite having gone through a bad experience, Robin is now safe and happy. He also appears to be young; thus, he still has a long journey ahead of him. Hopefully, many more kind people are out there to rescue dogs like Robin.
